Who is She?

“Michigan’s Sweetheart” Carrie McFerrin has been a staple in the Michigan music scene for over a decade. She brings a fierce country twang with an indie twist that is sure to give you the warm fuzzies and kick you in the teeth at the same time. She captivates a room within her first few notes, showcasing her swanky-twang, old country style. Her stage presence is a force full of wit and hilarity as she shares stories about her life and inspired songwriting.

Thrice-nominated for the WYCE Jammies, Carrie recently released her highly anticipated new album “Postpartum” to much acclaim. McFerrin is now performing both solo and with a stellar cast of Michigan music veterans. Be sure to catch a show…and watch your teeth.

As a solo artist, Carrie has opened for artists such as Amy LaVere, Matt Giraud, Sugar Ray, and Ferron and has played shows as large Kalamazoo’s Pride Festival (14,000+ people) and Kalamazoo Ribfest (10,000+ people).
During her past musical endeavors, Carrie has been part of opening acts for Blues Traveler, Donna the Buffalo, Amos Lee, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, and Chris Knight and has performed at venues such as the Bowery Electric in NYC.

Carrie McFerrin is available to perform in a variety of formations depending on your event’s needs and budget:

~Solo, with her guitar and voice
~Duo, with the addition of her lead guitarist
~Trio, with the addition of her bass player
~Full Band, with the addition of her drummer and other key players as needed

It is preferred that professional live sound reinforcement is provided, but we can bring our own equipment and run our own sound if needed for an additional fee. Let’s chat about what you need! 🙂

Carrie McFerrin’s show typically consists of a mix of original music and thoughtfully curated cover songs. That mix can be happily adjusted however, depending what your event calls for.
